I think that John and the father planned to kill Abby (idk why) So John killed her and the father cleaned up the blood, but i think that John was scared that he would snitch. So he killed him aswel. I think the person that you heard in the spirit box was the father, saying ''It was John!'' full of anger because John also killed him when he only was supposed to kill Abby
